Hi, I’m Sam Cartledge

I’m a photographer with a strong connection to Deaf sport, the Deaf community, and storytelling.

For the past 15 years, I’ve competed on the Australian Men’s Deaf Basketball Team and represented Australia as a three-time Deaflympian.

Deaf sport has shaped how I see moments—emotion, movement, and meaning—and photography is the natural next step in telling those stories from behind the lens.

My work focuses on showcasing Deaf athletes and sporting events, alongside everyday moments that capture connection and authenticity.

I’m open to any opportunity to hone my craft and create memories and stories along the way.
